Welcome to my blog on hands-on programming.
I started this blog with the intention of addressing the practical needs of business users (mainly analysts, mid- level managers as well as college students) who,quite frequently, have to deal with a large amount of data, but carry out ad-hoc processing.
The focus will be mainly on Microsoft office products (Excel, Access, Word and Powerpoint) and on VB.Net.
There are a lot of sites and books that provide good knowledge of the fundamentals, but I haven't found many sources of information that tell you how to combine different fundamental aspects to achieve a solution to common problems.
The problems and techniques discussed on this blog are the ones that I have faced personally during my career.
I owe a big debt to a lot of sites, blogs and books from where I could gather small bits of knowledge and then integrate them to form a solution.
I request you all to share your experiences, comments, suggestions and ideas to make this site more useful.
